The boss often comes into the office in a rage these days over not being listened to. He often threatens to write his pronouncements up in a blog called "Nobody Asked Me, But ...." It's not a bad idea. Here's our first NAMB Chronicle
We sat on the sidelines together during the recent Ontario social democratic leadership race. He was at work throughout that non-event. He told everyone who would listen (mostly me) that he could have done better, which was, of course, beside the point. Almost anyone could have done better that the geniuses that put on that show. This is posted mainly to show that the race was no fluke. There are some small mercies here. At least the communications supremos at caucus services have finally focused their camera on the new leader--it took them a while. However, until she learns to present stuff like Obama (the leader that her friends at Steel claimed she most resembled during the leadership contest), she might just try setting out some policy. You know about policy. Those are the concrete details that form part of the platform that are usually trotted out on day 14 of an election campaign--for maximum impact. How about a sales tax plan so attractive that other parties might steal it? Now that would be different. Enough said, as my uncle Phil used to say.
