Jim Hightower visits Book Passage Bookstore in Corte Madera, California on March 28th, 2008 to publicize his new book, Swim Against the Current: Even a Dead Fish Can Go with the Flow. The Boy Emperor has had the unfortunate side effect of making everything from Texas seem repugnant. This is unfortunate because the most acute Bush-whackers have been Texans. Before her death last year, Molly Ivins could always put things into perspective in ways that no one else could. The bookstore presentation lasts for about an hour. There's a shorter, hilarious YouTube clip from Hightower about a painting that Bush 42 brought to the oval office and proudly tells visitors about. I'm going to put it in the video bar over to the left and it will be there for a while. Who else but Bush the Younger could confuse a Methodist camp rider with a horse thief? |
