Yawn Temiseva and the Dented Bentleys live at the Renaissance tonight

Our friend Laurel Anne's partner Yawn Temiseva appears with his current band the Dented Bentleys as the final act at the Renaissance Caf's Friday Night event this Friday (11 July 2008). Laurel Anne says Yawn's band will be on about 11 PM, so there's time for you to have dinner with your extended family, argue pointlessly with your father-in-law for an hour or so about the success of the surge, convince your mother-in-law that General Hilliard is a disgusting and shameless war profiteer no matter what Christie Blatchford says, walk the dog, put out the cat, do the dishes, put the baby and the rest of your family to bed, and still have time to make it for the Dented Bentleys' set. The video of Yawn's Thinking Song is from from a solo January appearance at the Renaissance. He's got a whole new band and he's been putting in a lot of rehearsal time with them. Yawn has also put in some time on the indie music scene in the last decade. You can find out more about him at his website, http://www.sketchydetails.ca. Live music can be fun. There is a nominal cover charge )probably $5.00). The boss and I are going to be there.
