It's that time of year again. People are checking their ski gear. Some are working out. Menus are being planned. All this is in preparation for the annual reunion at Blue Spruce that starts on January 25. The image above is from the resort’s webcam and is periodically updated in the course of the day. It looks like the lake is frozen and there is snow cover.
Menu Planning:Catherine Neems has taken control of the menu planning and issue the following assignments:
- Friday Dinner-Michael/Zed (Ham, Scalloped Potatoes, Veggies and salad and dessert )
- Saturday Lunch Sandwiches-Russell/Brenda
- Saturday Dinner-Nick/Cathy (chicken)
- Sunday Lunch Sandwiches-Rob/Diana
- Sunday Dinner-Cathy N/Tom
The only menu snag that may present itself is that it seems that the fee for the Sunday Loppet (see below) includes lunch.
Ski Conditions: Up-to-date ski conditions are available at the following links: Algonquin Park and Arrowhead. Michael C. has been quietly promoting participation in the Muskoka Loppet that is taking place at Arrowhead on Sunday, January 27. Apparently, there is a sissy verson available that is described as a “5KM Classic Race for Kids and Social Skiers” in addition to the 15 & 30 KM iron man cliff-climbing events that Michael has told everyone about. People should check out the Loppet at the link above to see if there is a version of the Loppet that suits you.
