Although it's hard to mark genuine turning points in the Bush Administration's decline and fall (everything seems like something final these days), it would seem that the animated divisions of NewsCorp have staked out the Boy Emperor as comedy territory. What took them so long. Perjhaps the plan is to get people laughing so hard that Rupert can say at some point in the future that the Fox Network was against Bush from the start. In the era of Vietnam, Lyndon Johnson admitted defeat when he realized he had lost Walter Cronkite. I wonder if anyone at the White House still watches The Smpsons. |
